706ers Defeat the Middle Georgia Pits 111-92

AUGUSTA - In their thrilling home debut, the Augusta 706ers played a tight first half against the Middle Georgia Pits before displaying the dominance that may be becoming a theme through two games. It is safe to say these Augusta 706ers are on the warpath early in their first season.

Coach Oliver Ottley made efficient use of altered player rotations- an adjustment from the previous game- allowing for fresh scorers to shine late in what was a decidedly 706ers dominant second half.

The 706ers also displayed a sharpened focus on rebounding and second-effort plays, tightening up especially on these plays as the game went on, highlighting the advantages of well managed player rotations.

With the 706ers now sitting at 2-0 against quality opponents, look out for the team to possibly rise swiftly once more in the ABA league power rankings! You can catch them at their next home game in the James Brown Arena on December 2nd at 4:00 PM vs. the Atlanta Aliens.
